In the first week of lockdown I joined a Data expert and Engineer, as I solo Product Designer (virtually of course) and channelled our creative energy towards helping the government come up with a solution for contact tracing.
By creating a simple low tech solution that will give an instant digital capability to do Contact Tracing, Monitor Self Isolation Compliance, Check in check out from Businesses and send real time alerts to notify Kiwis who may have come into close contact with Covid-19 affected cases. All that in a very secured way and without infringing on people’s privacy rights.
We were immensely proud to see that the new contact tracing app from Ministry of Health New Zealand is largely built around the solution the group had designed and proposed. It was a tremendous effort working tirelessly for days to design the solution, write up the proposal and ship it across to MOH in a matter of days.
